Description

This activity is supported by an independent education grant from Genmab. This online education program has been designed solely for healthcare professionals in the USA. The information in this program is not suitable for any other country.

Join leading expert Dr. Paolo Strati for this accredited virtual workshop. This highly interactive toxicity management workshop focuses on the prompt recognition, grading, escalation, and multidisciplinary management of adverse events associated with bispecific antibody therapy. Utilizing real-time polling and simulated patient cases, participants will learn to differentiate cytokine release syndrome (CRS) from infusion-related reactions or infection, apply the ICE scoring system for immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), manage severe cytopenias and infectious complications, and implement consensus-based intervention algorithms across outpatient and acute care settings.

This workshop is part of a series. Register for workshop 1, 2 and 4 below:

Workshop 1 - Selecting the Right Patient at the Right Time

Workshop 2 - From Prescription to First Dose

Workshop 4 - Building a Bispecific-Ready Practice

Session Highlights

  • Apply consensus grading systems (ASTCT) to accurately recognize and grade CRS, ICANS, and overlapping toxicities in patients receiving bispecific antibodies.
  • Execute evidence-based management algorithms, including the appropriate timing and administration of dexamethasone, tocilizumab, and supportive care measures.
  • Utilize diagnostic evaluation tools (e.g., ICE score assessment, infection workups) to distinguish immune-mediated adverse events from alternative etiologies.
  • Implement prophylactic protocols to reduce the risk of infectious complications, neutropenia, and severe adverse events during step-up dosing.
  • Engage in interactive decision-making scenarios to establish timely escalation triggers and multidisciplinary communication pathways during urgent toxicity events.
