Faculty

Craig Beavers, PharmD, is the Vice President of Operations for Baptist Health Paducah and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. A board-certified cardiology pharmacist and anticoagulation care provider, he has served as the Cardiovascular Executive Lead for the Baptist Health System and as a director of cardiovascular services for the Hospital Corporation of America. Dr. Beavers is a fellow of the American Heart Association and currently co-chairs the clinical pharmacist workgroup of the American College of Cardiology.

Angela Branche, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a leading expert in infectious diseases and vaccinology. As the Co-Principal Investigator for the University of Rochester Vaccine Treatment and Evaluation Unit (UR VTEU), she plays a key role in the clinical development of therapeutics and vaccines for respiratory pathogens, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV. Dr. Branche earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed her fellowship training at the University of Rochester, where she now combines her clinical practice with research on viral pathogenesis and host immune responses. A member of the NIH Emerging Infections Expert Working Group, she is dedicated to advancing public health through large-scale clinical trials and the study of vaccine biology in adult populations.

William Callahan, DO is a board-certified family physician and the Assistant Director of the Abington Family Medicine Residency Program at Jefferson Health. A dedicated clinician and educator, he serves as both a primary care provider and an academic attending, combining his passion for patient care with a strong commitment to medical education. Dr. Callahan provides comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, while mentoring residents to prepare the next generation of family physicians. He is deeply committed to continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that his patients and trainees receive the best possible guidance and support.

Dr. Corey Kershaw, M.D. is a Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Kershaw is Clinical Services Chief for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Southwestern, specializing in interstitial lung diseases. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas–Houston and completed his residency and fellowship at Emory University. Board-certified in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Kershaw leads clinical research in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and related interstitial lung diseases, contributing to multiple industry-funded trials advancing PF therapies.
