Join leading experts Dr. Francis Farraye, Dr. Barbara Yawn and Dr. Ruth Carrico for this accredited virtual webinar. This is a 60-minute interactive virtual roundtable designed to identify and resolve real-world breakdowns in shingles prevention for immunocompromised adults. Led by a multidisciplinary team—this hands-on, case-based workshop models shared ownership of prevention to help ambulatory care teams strengthen protection and boost series completion rates.
Participants will engage in rapid scenario analysis, structured reflections, and interactive polling across four high-friction clinical domains, including eligibility hesitation, patient hesitancy, workflow breakdowns, and second-dose drop-offs.
Session Highlights
- Overcoming Eligibility Hesitation: Clarify decision ownership and optimal vaccination timing for immunocompromised patients receiving complex therapies.
- Addressing Patient Hesitancy: Utilize practical scripts and communication strategies to resolve patient concerns regarding vaccine reactogenicity and confidence gaps.
- Eliminating Workflow Breakdowns: Bridge gaps between primary care and specialty clinics with clear documentation and recall processes.
- Maximizing Series Completion: Implement clear delegation models and follow-up protocols to prevent second-dose drop-off in ambulatory care.
