This program is supported by an independent education grant from Pfizer Global Medical Grants. This online education program has been designed for healthcare professionals globally.

In this virtual 45-minute Grand Rounds session, leading expert Dr Sarah Sammons, MD explores advanced sequencing and shared decision-making strategies in HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. Dr. Sammons will:

  • Evaluate multi-drug maintenance strategies, including the latest evidence for adding TKIs and ADCs, balancing efficacy endpoints, CNS benefits, and toxicity considerations
  • Apply patient-centred, quality-of-life–focused decision-making through real-world case vignettes, matching regimen intensity to tumour biology, CNS risk, comorbidities, and patient preferences .
  • Synthesize and map current guideline recommendations and emerging trial data to clarify decision points from induction through maintenance and later-line transitions .

Presented by

Dr Sarah Sammons, MD – is a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, with a focus on metastatic disease and brain metastases. She has led clinical trials that have advanced treatment options for metastatic breast cancer. She was previously Associate Director of Breast Cancer Research at Duke Cancer Institute and, since 2022, serves as a medical oncologist and Associate Director of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Program at Brigham and Women’s and Dana-Farber.
